My birthday is in a few weeks, and the menswear gods must have known. Because the Minneapolis-based hub of all things American menswear, NorthernGRADE, is coming to Chicago this week.
Brought here through a collaboration between the venerable Brad Bennet of Well Spent and the event founders, Pierrepont Hicks out of Minnesota, this pop up shop promises to bring together the best of designers, artisans and brands straight from the heartland. I’ve always wanted to make it up to Minnesota for this market. Thanks Brad et al. for bringing it to us.
Haberdash, Penelope’s, Winter Session, Field Notes, Red Wing, Portland General Store and others will be present. So should you be.
The event will be held at Open Secret Studios at 401 N. Racine from 10 am to 6:30 pm, this Saturday, October 27. See you there?
