Well, thank you for asking.
We’ve been working on this new house like mad, for one thing. We’ve been painting, unpacking, fixing, DIYing and generally loving our new house, but it sure has kept us busy. We’ve also dealt with a rather large array of friendly and unfriendly contractors and service people. And the ride isn’t over yet.
And in the midst of all of that, I’ve given my self a little break from this project (and not just because it took us four weeks to get Internet set up). It’s given me a healthy perspective about how I want to approach TEM going forward, and some great stuff is on the way – including some design and content updates.
Thanks for being patient with me in this slow period. Your participation and eyes are always appreciated. Great stuff is on the way!

Congrats on the house, and yes, I’m sure you are extremely busy building that new nest. 4 weeks waiting on internet…that’s crazy and frustrating!
This summer for us has been very very busy as well. We found out we’re expecting our first child come this January. Your writing has given me insight into fatherhood thus far, and now that we are pregnant, will give me guidance. It was planned, and we are super excited.
We’ll also be moving my wife’s ceramics studio next month and she’s hiring me to help out around the studio. I’ll be leaving my career office job life, and can’t wait to take the leap. It will allow me more time to pursue my art and freelance design career as well. Busy summer, big changes! Take care and enjoy a break from the house fixin’ uppin’.
Wow – A lot going on for you too, Mike! Congrats on the first child. It really is life-changing – in mostly a good way.
