Hard Graft Wants Your Bag to Go Places

by Caleb on October 29, 2009

Hard Graft's Three Fold Leather Laptop Bag at The Exceptional Man, Chicago

It’s not often that I’ll write about two bags in the same week, but this new hard graft 3FOLD Leather Laptop Bag merits the attention.

Not content with their 2UNFOLD Leather Laptop Bag, which unfolded as a briefcase, shoulder bag, or backpack, hard graft now wants you to be able to fit your bag to your destination. Giving a presentation? Mold it into a sizable A2 portfolio case. Heading to the office with your laptop? It turns into a standard but stylish laptop bag. Going on a weekend excursion? Make it into a spacious Overnighter (the one pictured above).

The triple use of this bag (slightly) makes up for its hefty price tag: €409. That’s the price one must pay for Italian tanned leather and hand-finished craftsmanship.

Made from 100% Scottish leather, this duffel bag, Dopp kit and passport case would be as great to take on your next European tour as they would be on your next safari. [via Definitive Touch]

When I was contacted by the Sportback Team at What Are You Into? to try out the new Lancer Sportback for a weekend, I did the obvious thing: I Googled “Sportback”. Apparently a Sportback is a combination of a hatchback and testosterone.
Having gotten used to driving family-friendly cars, I wasn’t prepared for (1) the kick [...]

Tip: Avoid White Socks Like the Plague

Sometimes things are obvious. Sometimes they’re not. For instance, to me it’s obvious that white athletic socks make any young attractive man look instantly like a grandpa. But for those to whom this is less obvious, let’s state it outright: if you must wear white socks, wear them only to the gym.
While we’re at it, [...]

One of the defining characteristics of modern manhood in America is a lack of identity. TEM is my humble attempt at reconciling part of this issue. For a more Chicken-Soup-for-the-Man’s-Soul route, try the new book The Good Men Project: Real Stories from the Front Lines of Modern Manhood.
The book is a collection of essays from [...]
